Technology KWL

I have created a blog in my class with my students. I teach 2nd grade and I read a chapter book that I let the students pick out. Most of the time it is a Junie B. Jones book. After I finish reading the book to the class we talk about it. So I just created a blog for my class' book talk. I showed them the site and they all voted on how it would look and they told me what to type about the book we just finished. They loved it and were telling their teacher in their specials what we had done and to go and read it. We are about to finish another book and post our thoughts on that one.

Thoughts on Blogging

I think blogging and threaded discussions are great. It's a great way to communicate with different people about all kinds of different things. I can't wait to use it with my students. This has opened up a whole new way of sharing literarcies with anyone.
