Podcasting
Well first of all I have used podcast before with iTunes and my iPod, which I love. I love being able to go on iTunes and just typing a keyword or artist and finding a song that I have heard on the radio that I liked and downloading it to my iPod. I also liked reading about the different ways that teachers have used podcasting in their schools to let the students report on things that have been done in their class with different projects. I think that is a great thing to post on the school website so that other teachers and other viewers can see and hear what is going on and what children are learning about. It also gives students another way to show and express what they have learned.
Videos
I really liked taking videos of my students learning in the classroom. They also liked doing it. I used a flip camera which is the easiest thing in the world to use. I showed my students how it worked and they were using it to interview each other the first time I pulled it out. They began interviewing each other about a project that we were doing and why we were doing each of the things that was being done. They took complete charge and I was only facilitating. It gave them the chance to really think about the project that was being done, reflect on what they had learned, and operate a type of technology.

Digital Photography
I love taking pictures of my students doing projects or on field trips. I like to use the pictures later to discuss what we did and let them write about what was done. I have also used a flip camera in my classroom and let the students hold it to record their classmates. We have used it to do journaling about the process of taking care of baby chicks while they were developing in the egg. They loved using the camera and talking to the camera to explain what we were doing and then we loaded the video journals to our class blog to let others know about it.
Webquest
I used trackstar to create a webquest about embrology and chicks hatching from their egg. My students actually did this project this year and loved it. So I created this webquest that could be done along or seperate from the embrology project with the incubator. It has great interactive websites for learning about the process that the chick goes through while inside the egg.
I have a facebook account and love it. It's an easy place to see pictures and what people are doing that I used to talk to on a regular basis but for whatever reason we have not stayed in contact as much. I can also see pictures of old friends that are having kids now.

Social Bookmarking, Webquesting, and Facebook
We have been doing a lot of different things lately in this class. I love the social bookmarking because I have found it to be so helpful. I would find myself needing a website that was saved as a favorite at my school but I was at my house or somewhere else. But after saving all my favorites on Del.icio.us I can access my favorites anywhere I am. I love it because I have set up tags where my students can go to things that are just for them as well.
